It is used to treat various bacterial infections such as upper and lower respiratory and urinary tract infections; skin, soft tissue, bone and joint infections; septicemia, meningitis,

Swelling, redness, or pain at the injection site may occur. If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

Cefotaxime solutions containing dextrose may be contraindicated in patients with known corn hypersensitivity or hypersensitivity to corn products.

This medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. This medication passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
