Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, headache, or dizziness may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
Hypersensitivity to piperacillin or any other penicillin antibiotic (amoxicillin, ampicillin, Augmentin, dicloxacillin, oxacillin, penicillin, ticarcillin, or others). Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: cystic fibrosis, kidney disease, seizure disorder. Piperacillin/tazobactam may cause live bacterial vaccines (such as typhoid vaccine) to not work as well. Do not have any immunizations/vaccinations while using this medication unless your doctor tells you to.
One product that may interact with this drug is: methotrexate.
During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when clearly needed. It may rarely harm an unborn baby. It is unknown if this medication passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast- feeding.
