It is used to treat different types of bacterial infections of the skin, sinuses, lungs, or stomach.
It can cause low blood sugar, headache, hunger, sweating, irritability, dizziness, nausea, fast heart rate, or feeling anxious or shaky
Hypersensitivity to moxifloxacin or any member of the quinolone class of antibacterials. Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: diabetes, heart problems (such as recent heart attack), joint/tendon problems (such as tendonitis, bursitis), liver disease, mental/mood disorders (such as depression), myasthenia gravis, nerve problems (such as peripheral neuropathy), seizure disorder, conditions that increase your risk of seizures (such as brain/head injury, brain tumors, cerebral atherosclerosis), blood vessel problems (such as aneurysm or blockage of the aorta or other blood vessels, hardening of the arteries), high blood pressure, certain genetic conditions (Marfan syndrome, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome).
Some products that may interact with this drug include: “blood thinners” (such as acenocoumarol, warfarin), strontium.
During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when clearly needed. It may rarely harm an unborn baby. It is unknown if this medication passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast- feeding.
