It is used to relief constipation.
It can cause dehydration, loss of apetite, loose motion, skin itching, vomiting, inflammation.
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug. It should be use with caution in patients with stomach pain, bowel disease, people with anorexia and kidney disease. Use with caution in congestive heart failure patient when replacing fluids. Monitor fluid, electrolyte and acid-base balance regularlyUse with caution in breast feeding and nursing mothers.
It can interact with amikacin, aspirin, azithromycin, cefadroxil.
