This medication can cause nausea, constipation, diarrhea, or headache. If these symptoms persist or become severe, notify your doctor.
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug. Before taking this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to the active ingredient. Antacids can interfere with the absorption of many other drugs. Be sure to check with your pharmacist before taking antacids with any other medication. Simethicone can decrease the absorption of thyroid medications (such as levothyroxine). If you take thyroid medication, take it at least 4 hours before or after products that contain simethicone. Tell your doctor of any prescription or nonprescription medication your child may use, including any antacids or digestive medications since some combination products may also contain simethicone.
