This medication may temporarily sting or burn for a minute or two when first applied. If this continues or becomes bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: skin rash, redness/itching/ pain/swelling around the rectal area. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug. Before using it, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e. g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc. ), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e. g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc. ). Wash your hands with soap and water before or after applying this medicineDo not wash the treated area after immediately applying it. Also avoid the use of other products on the treated area unless directed by your doctor. Applying an excessive amount may result in pilling. Use a thinner layer or lesser quantity of medicine to avoid pilling.
