This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of allergy to Itopride or any other ingredient present along with it. Patients with internal bleeding, mechanical bowel obstruction,parkinson disease. This medicine should be used with caution in elderly patients as the risk of side effects are increasingly high. Report any incidence indicating intestinal blockage like severe bloating, nausea, vomiting, severe abdominal cramps, constipation etc to the doctor. Use of this medicine is not recommended in such cases. Use of this medicine in breastfeeding mothers is not recommended. If the need of this medicine is absolutely necessary then breastfeeding should be discontinued prior to uptake. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine. It is best that you take Itopride as prescribed. In the event that you miss a dose take it as soon as possible. If you remember to take it at the time of your next dose, skip the dose you missed and go back to your normal schedule.
