The use of amodiaquine for prophylaxis results in an unacceptably high risk ofagranulocytosis and liver toxicity and is contraindicated. Some medicines may ineract with this drug that includes zidovudine or efavirenz

This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details. This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with porphyrias (blood disorder), and impaired renal (kidney) or hepatic (liver) functionPerform eye test before and during long term therapy.
